Schedule

The 2010 LOE/1000 schedule has been set up to allow the riders to visit The Trinity Site on White Sands Missile Range.   Our group of New Mexico riders hope that out of town riders will bring guests to this event to attend some of the events of The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.  The start and finish of the rally will again be held in Los Lunas, New Mexico at the Western Skies Inn & Suites which is at Exit 203 of I-25 about 10 miles south of the Albuquerque Sunport (airport). The Balloon Fiesta site is about 30 miles north of the Western Skies Inn.

Friday   October 1, 2010               Tech Inspection, Odometer CheckCourse, and Rider Welcome
   Western Skies Inn   1PM to 8PM          (The Odometer Check Course will be open at  1:00 PM!)
             Note:  Rider checkin during this time is  MANDATORY except for those few who have
                        contacted the RallyMeister with exceptional travel schedules.  Our volunteers
                        will be checking rider paperwork, distributing rally materials,  and doing the
                        Tech Inspection.  There will be an address or a question and answer session at
                        8:00 PM,  which should be helpful to new riders who could benefit from the input
                        of the more experienced.   Bonus Sheets will be handed out then.

Saturday  October 2, 2010             Rally Start,  Lineup and Group Photo at 6:30 AM
  Western Skies Inn 6:00AM til 7:00AM           (All riders leave at 7:00 AM)
      Note:   Riders in the 2010 LOE/1000 will not be able to fit the Balloon Fiesta mass ascension into
                  their schedule on Saturday morning.  However, their guests may be interested in this event
                  Saturday AM,  as well as on Sunday.

Sunday  October 3, 2010                Finish Times
   Western Skies Inn 6:00AM   until  10:00AM    (subject to change)
       Note:  Riders must finish before 7:00 AM in order to qualify for the Iron Butt SaddleSore 1000
                   certificate.  All riders finishing by 8:00 AM will be considered a finisher of the LOE/1000,
                   but penalty points will accrue after 7:00 AM.   These penalties may be severe!

Sunday  October 3, 2010                 Awards Banquet and Group Photo          
Luna Mansion Los Lunas, NM       12:00 noon til 2:00PM
   
       Note:   The Luna Mansion is a Registered National Historic Landmark 2 miles East of the Western Skies Inn,
                    it has a state wide reputation for fine food, was the seat of early government of New Mexico, and was used 
                    as a film location for the 2006 Mini-series "Comanche Moon"!
 
       Note:   Riders will be able to leave the awards banquet  with enough time to get to the
                    Balloon Fiesta  "Balloon Glow" Sunday afternoon, a very popular event.
